Drawing and photography are central to my practice. Both make pressing - if sometimes fictitious - claims to the capture of lost moments.

Garden, cool day

Brush markers in Moleskine sketchbook.

Two drawings done at the bottom of the garden - in the second, playing with reversing the colours.

I am really enjoying your garden sketches a lot. My garden is currently infested with enormous stinging mosquitoes who have no qualms braving full sunlight to suck my blood, hence no garden sketching.

Oh dear, vampire mosquitos! You seem to manage to draw everywhere else, though. I never knew I could enjoy a garden so much, either in the thing itself, or in the pleasure of drawing in it - I used to be a city girl, but this is definitely the life for me now!
